Facility, Stripes, and Singleton

The Herald-Leader has posted a picture tour of UK's the new basketball practice facility. The new facility was open to the public Friday, Aug. 10 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 11 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The facility looks nothing short of amazing! I can't see how a recruit would even second guess going to UK after seeing it. To take the picture tour CLICK HERE.

The University of Kentucky's football team was introduced to a new training method recently. White stripes were placed down the center of the defensive players helmets in hopes of improving the player's ball awareness. The white stripes act as an aid in seeing exactly where the players are looking during practice drills. If the player isn't looking in the correct spot, the coach can easily spot the mistake by looking where the ball is and where the white stripe is facing.

Chris Singleton recently told a number of interviewers his current list of top schools. Singleton listed seven schools, including UK at number five. The 6'8" 210 pound small forward plans on visiting UK sometime this fall, and expects UK to move up on his list after the visit. A lot of speculation points towards Singleton as being UK's biggest target, but many believe Tennessee still has the upper hand.
