With the recent struggles of finding a big man, the coaching staff at UK hopes they can stay in the race of what is left in the 2008 class. Kevin Jones, a 6'8" 210 pound power forward out of Mount Vernon, New York, still lists UK as one of his top schools. Jones has good length, is a skilled rebounder, and quickly gets the ball to open men. Even though Jones lacks in overall size, and needs to work on his scoring abilities, he is still considered by many to be a top-20 prospect at his position. He is listed as a four-star recruit across the board, and is also listed number 79 in Rivals.com's top-150 of 2008. Kevin's list of schools also includes Indiana, Ohio State, West Virginia, Kansas, and Syracuse.
